How to make a request

First make sure you clicked the correct edit-link and you are actually requesting the right you want.

Copy the following and append it to the text-area:

Replace reason with a rationale based on the rollback guideline, renaming guideline or the patroller guideline.
Press Publish changes.

If your request has remained unanswered for several days, consider personally asking an administrator.
Administrators, please welcome users granted a new right with an appropriate message.
When requesting rights that need support by the community (e.g. administrator) please go to Commons:Requests and votes!

If you request the rollback-right, please read the how-to first.

Admins and anyone with global rollback don't need to request rollback. License reviewers don't have to request the patrol flag.

To rename images I have uploaded; to change meaningless or ambiguous names of files I and others have uploaded related to the Smithsonian American Art Museum; to harmonize names for the set of images from the Smithsonian American Art Museum that multiple users have uploaded. Over the years, Wikimedia volunteers and Smithsonian employees have uploaded open access images from the Smithsonian American Art Museum collection to Commons. As such, naming conventions have differed and evolved. Most of the images from this museum are now uploaded by SI employees, and we've settled on a naming scheme, which I'd like to apply to images from this museum already uploaded to Commons. I need filemoving access because sometimes, I miss spell some filenames and folders. Like changing file:Waverly Council Chambers.jpg to "Waverley Council Chambers.jpg" or I need to edit folder names like "Category:Centennial Park, Woollahra Gate from Oxford Street" to "Category:Centennial Park, Woollahra Gates from Oxford Street" and Category:The Offerings of War and Peace to "Category:The Offerings of War and Peace statues".

I also think, I should change the name of File:Unveiled by The Honourable Peter Collins M.P. NSW Minister of the Arts on 22 December 1988-Commissioned by the AMP Society-Portrait.jpg as it looks too long with too much information for a filename and I should change it to Bird Totem.

Sometime, I see pictures with wrong filename that need to be edited.

There is also pictures of an unknown sculpture. As soon as I find its name, I will change the name of the folder and files.

Also, sometimes, I need to change the name of a file for a better filename.

Category:St Matthias Anglican Church, Centennial Park should be changed to Category:St Matthias Anglican Church, Paddington NSW because St Matthias Anglican Church is located in Paddinton suburb.

I would like to be considered for using the right to fix the file name according to Commons renaming policy. I create/upload a number of files and sometimes I make an error in the spelling of the file name. I am aware of the Commons renaming policy and will abide by the terms of the policy. I am requesting the right to rename files which needs to be taken care of, specially the local ones in local language.
