Trust is one of the most important things for us to build. Without trust how can we empower.
PEople say that trust has to be earned, i disagree with this, i always look to give trust and then ask people to keep my trust.
If i make them try to earn it they may choose not to.
By giving them my trust first, it shows trust and helps build the relationship.

Fully agree. Many mistake arrogance for confidence, but they are not the same.
Arrogance is not a culture that we should be creating its not constructive, as you say its more destructive.

I think there is a lack of understanding in where success comes from.
If people had a better understanding of that then would look to boost confidence in their teams.
Also, i think people should think about how they would like to be led and ask whether they are leading people in the same way. I would bet that in many cases its not the case.

Fully agree micro management is not a confidence builder is a confidence destroyer.
We need to have confidence in our teams, give them confidence and leave them to be successful, then reward that success
