Manoj, i think we have completely different views on leadership and management. Fear, in my opinion, is not something that she be used in either leadership or management. Fear is the tool of the weak who try to use power and position to coerce people. Real leaders inspire and motivate, thats the way to sustainable success.
I don’t know who is telling you to use fear, but i suggest strongly that you stop listening to them!!!!!

This article iam confused because fear play an important role in management,,,if there is no fear then their will be no work…..people will not perform as per their given strength….In India fear factor work more…..if their is no fear among employees they will not perform..

I don’t think with fear you can get job done. if they don’t get treated well, you won’t get the result you want. To me, It is one of the best article, explained in simple terms.

” Fear is not a motivator and very few people do their best work when they are afraid ” …. sums up… .just to add in that.. with fear you can get your job done but will not earn you the trust…. even if you get the respect that will be out of fear not out of trust…..
