David, for me people can choose to socialise or not, i’m fine with that.
I know what you mean about the local teams too, one of my team told me they were surprised when i came into their office
as they had only seen their boss, who’d been their boss for 10 years, when he called them into his office for a chat.

The only slight issue I have had with social meetings for certain employees is that they say “I work with these guys, but I am not paid to socialize with them”.
