Even better have a KPI for providing recognition, most companies just don’t value it enough to really benefit from it

Many firms are still not given the right attention to staff recognition . This is a very key element of motivation and most cases does not cost a dime. Senior leaders should add this as part of their KPI.

i fully agree this should be a CEO role and in those companies where this has been done then they have been very successful.

If the CEO truly believes in recognizing the company’s people, then it will happen. Companies need each line-manager to recognize the team and individual contributors.

I don’t see this as a position, more a role that can be performed by anyone on the board and ideally it should be every board member

Even with the extra cost of a CRO, the productivity profits would be higher because your employees and doing more and better for no extra cost. Companies can trial a CRO for a year to see if there is any benefit to it.

Yep, I’m sure, we just need more CHIEF’ s, that will make all the difference.
