I don’t think literature does portrait leaders as Demi-Gods, i know that is not something that i do. I do portray leadership as important, i do talk about the tremendous benefits it can bring.
But that is not the same as saying all leaders are great. We have bad leaders in many many situations, and i believe that these should be challenged, and i do accept it can be a risk to do so, and i say that from painful experience. Leaders do have power, and that power can be wielded to great benefit and it can also be wielded to harm anyone they don’t like who challenges them.

The one challenging the leadership might actually not be an underperformer or the one responsible for creating a toxic environment…. how can anyone, just anyone (more so an underperformer) working under a genuinely strong leader want to risk their job or credentials in danger ?
