Notification about possible deletion[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Copyright status: File:Peter Heenan MIKAN 3216661.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Peter Heenan MIKAN 3216661.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Autopatroller[edit]
Hi, Caddyshack! You have done a lot of good work and your edits do not need to be patrolled anymore, so I just made you autopatroller. Thank you for your work and happy editing! Taivo (talk) 10:41, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
File:Ross, King, Bult, Mcbride and Dryden.jpg[edit]
Hi, Can you please tell more precisely what is unidentified in File:Ross, King, Bult, Mcbride and Dryden.jpg? If someone is misentified, please specify the issue. The "unidentified" category is unlikely to be of much use on this image without an explanation of what identification problem users are expected to look for -- Asclepias (talk) 16:53, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Uploading over existing images[edit]
Hi Caddyshack. While providing higher resolution versions of existing images is appreciated, as you did with File:HaiseandFullertonEnterprise.jpg, it is critical and necessary to provide the source of these images. Please remember to update the source in the description when you provide updated images. — Huntster (t @ c) 06:53, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice, I will make sure to do that in the future. I am getting all of the higher resolution nasa images from searching the Image and Video Library (https://images.nasa.gov/) - Caddyshack01 (talk) 15:50, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Caddyshack01, hello again. I need to caution you against overwriting files as you did with File:1989 s34 Galileo Deploy2.jpg. When the target file has completely different dimensions and differences in colouration, the new file needs to be uploaded under a new filename. Check out COM:OVERWRITE for more information. That's why it and File:Galileo spacecraft & IUS deployment sequence in OV-104's payload bay on STS-34 (S34-71-000AK).jpg were separate files in the first place. As an example, sometimes different cropping is intentional (though I'm not saying it is in this case), so if overwritten it could be disruptive to the end user. Just be mindful in the future. Thanks! — Huntster (t @ c) 18:58, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. I looked at that one and you are correct, the Galileo is at two slightly different angles, as well as the different coloring and cropping. I will be more careful in the future. My goal was to update some of the lower quality images (generally uploaded between 2006-2012) with higher resolution images from the NASA Image and Video Library. - Caddyshack01 (talk) 22:22, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Hey Caddyshack. I've noticed your great work on NASA pictures in my watchlist. Thanks and keep it up! Cryptic-waveform (talk) 13:52, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
