Copyright status: File:Portrush railway station - An Elizabethan railway station.jpg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Portrush railway station - An Elizabethan railway station.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

My request for adminship[edit]
Hello! I want to thank you for your participation and input in my recently failed request for adminship. I take every word everybody said in the most constructive way and it is my intention to not only do my best for Commons (as long as time and real life allows me to), but to continue learning and helping out whenever I can. I don't take your oppose vote as something negative, much on the contrary, it is certainly enlightening. I want to repeat my comment at the RFA, I have to admit I can't understand why the use of these words ("excited", etc.) is inappropriate. Once again, thank you for your vote and I hope to see you again, collaborating around Commons. Have a good day. Bedivere (talk) 03:14, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Bedivere: In an admin the quality being used looked for is calm, neutral, cautious, and someone who calmly works through situations and at times may have to work as diligently as they are able through situations. Getting "exicited" is not an attribute I'd not particualry want to see. In an RFA one is showcasing your admin aptitude and and showcasing "getting exited" isn't really what I am looking for. Also pleasing "give us a chance" was not what I would expect an admin to say. I wouldn't have opposed you on these two reasons alone; and you might, indeed should have, have noticed I want a comment on the RFA subsequnet to yours on the some words used in the nomination. Thats my viewwpoint and it isn't necessarily though of the community. But perhaps I should give some advice that people, especially young people, are rejected at interview and they are given (or request) reasons the interview erjected them. I always say don;t always take those comments over precisely. An interviewer may not give you the true reasons why you didn't get the job over another candidate. I know one company from decades ago that used to place job ads. when times of tough in for the purpose of indicating to potential customers that the business was not just about to fold. But whatever you do don't try to over-think my comment and if it helps your mental state to check my blocking for W:WP:CIR then feel free to do so. And if you don;t get my answer ignore it and move on .. my vote was one of many. Good luck. Thankyou. -- DeirgeDel tac 04:28, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
