Global IP block by you[edit]
Hi while trying to upload images from my smartphone I received the following messsage on two accounts Hyruspex and Natacha LSP (I have tried with cellular connection and wifi, and furthermore I am using the same wifi connection now) : Your IP address is in a range that has been blocked on all Wikimedia Foundation wikis. The block was made by Jon Kolbert. The reason given is Open Proxy/Webhost: Contact stewards if you are affected. . Start of block: 16:33, 29 March 2021 Expiry of block: 16:33, 29 March 2024 Your current IP address is 2a09:bac2:1e22:282::40:2b. The blocked range is 2A09:BAC0:0:0:0:0:0:0/29. Please include all above details in any queries you make. If you believe you were blocked by mistake, you can find additional information and instructions in the No open proxies global policy. Otherwise, to discuss the block please post a request for review on Meta-Wiki. You could also send an email to the stewards VRT queue at stewards@wikimedia.org including all above details. Return to Main Page.
I don't understand why I am blocked nor how I can connect again from my cell phone.
Kind regards, Hyruspex (talk) 17:56, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Hyruspex: That is a Cloudflare IP, not a residential/mobile internet provider. Are you using a VPN - that block has been active for two years and you have previously edited without incident. Jon Kolbert (talk) 18:49, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- I think the block is picking up Apple's iCloud Private Relay. It was blocking me until I turned off this feature. 68.229.74.121 02:01, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
